Superior Flux manufactures a full range of plumbing fluxes: water-soluble paste flux, petroleum paste flux, and tinning flux. All are excellent choices for soldering copper pipes and can also be used as general purpose soldering fluxes.

All plumbing fluxes are RoHS compliant.
All of our pluming fluxes are formulated for use in torch soldering and are also effective for soldering with different heating sources, such as soldering irons, hot plates, etc. Plumbing fluxes should not be used for soldering electronic or electrical components as their ingredients, particularly Zinc Chloride, may be harmful to such components.
Superior No. 130 is a petroleum-based plumbing flux paste that contains Zinc Chloride and Ammonium Chloride. The petroleum helps protect the solder joint against corrosive attack, and the flux’s paste form insures that the flux stays put until soldering.
Superior No. 141 is a unique, water-soluble plumbing flux that is an excellent alternative to petrolatum fluxes and that meets NSF/ANSI Standard 61. No. 141 is a creamy, white paste that holds its form and will not slump until being heated above 50°C/122°F. This flux promotes excellent solderability and post-solder residue removal. For use when soldering copper and copper-alloy tubes with lead-free and lead-bearing alloys.
Superior No. 70-5 is a petroleum-based tinning flux, meaning it is a paste flux fortified with added tin powder. This tinning flux leaves a coating of tin on the solder area that improves overall joining. For use in torch soldering.
Superior No. 142-5 offers the benefits of a tinning flux in a water-soluble flux form that conforms to ASTM B-813. This flux contains tin powder, enabling it to thinly coat the area to be soldered with a layer of tin, thus aiding the soldering process.
