All Superior Flux silver brazing fluxes are RoHS compliant.
Superior No. 601 is the general-purpose, “white” silver brazing flux – an excellent paste flux for ferrous and non-ferrous alloys, stainless steels and copper. It is ideal for use in a wide variety of silver brazing applications: appliances, automotive, dental tools, orthodontia, farm machinery, heat exchanges, heat equipment, maintenance, mining tools, musical instruments, plumbing fixtures, refrigeration and air conditioning, ship repair, steel furniture and welding equipment. No. 601 is the ideal flux for brazing with Silver-bearing alloys, the so-called “BAg Alloys,” and can also be used for brazing Phosp-Copper or BCuP alloys. This flux is available in a variety of jar sizes, as well as in pails of various sizes.
Superior No. 6 silver brazing flux that contains no Potassium Bifluoride, making it ideal for jewelry applications. While in general it is recommended that you avoid flux contacting your skin, our No. 6 is certainly more forgiving on your skin than your average white silver brazing flux, like our No. 601. However, if you get some No. 6 on your skin, you should clean it off as quickly as possible with warm water and soap, making sure to remove all flux residues.
Superior No. 650 is a revolutionary fluoride-free silver brazing flux formulated for silver brazing of copper, brass and mild steel. This flux is particularly good for applications where the elimination of Fluorides is desired for either personal safety reasons or to reduce Fluoride emissions from a facility or both.
All Superior white brazing fluxes are water-soluble and ship as non-hazardous products.
