Superior No. 99-25.15 meets the requirements of J-STD-002 Flux #1 for tin/lead solderability testing (Sn63/Pb37 and Sn60/Pb40).
Superior No. 99-25.39 meets the requirements of J-STD-002 Flux #2 for lead-free solderability testing (Sn96.5/Ag3.0/Cu0.5, SAC305).
These fluxes are made under strict conditions to ensure conformance with IPC J-STD-002 requirements.
Superior No. 99-25.15 conforms to Flux #1 and Superior No. 99-25.39 conforms to Flux #2 per the J-STD-002 as dictated in the standards as follows (note: the following is a direct quote from the J-STD-002 for the purposes of identifying the Superior Flux products that appear on this page as the correct fluxes for this specification):
“3.2.2 Flux The flux for tin/lead solderability tests shall be a standard activated rosin flux #1 having a composition of 25% ± 0.5% by weight of colophony and 0.15% ± 0.01% by weight diethylammonium hydrochloride (CAS 660-68-4), in 74.85% ± 0.5% by weight of isopropyl alcohol.
The flux for lead-free solderability tests shall be a standard activated rosin flux #2 having a composition of 25% ± 0.5% by weight of colophony and 0.39% ± 0.01% by weight diethylammonium hydrochloride (CAS 660-68-4), in 74.61% ± 0.5% by weight of isopropyl alcohol.”
